Lucky Ugochukwu, known professionally as Slamxy, is an emerging Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer hailing from Ebonyi State. Born on March 23rd, 2002, in Badagry, Lagos State, he began his journey at "Omotayo" school in Badagry before a family tragedy prompted a move to Owerri West, IMO State. Losing his father at 13, Slamxy's life took a new path.
Despite the challenges, Slamxy's passion for music ignited early. Learning from vocal practices during Sunday choir practice, he embraced freestyle and honed his skills. His musical journey took off in 2020, with covers of tracks like Omah Lay's "Godly" and Davido's "Risky." In 2021, he released his debut single, "Faji," followed by "Maria" in 2022.
Raised in a well-off background, Slamxy's life took a turn after his father's passing due to heart disease. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, he immersed himself in Afrobeat, molding his versatility across genres.
