Adhitia Sofyan (born in November 1977) is a singer songwriter from Jakarta, Indonesia. He began writing and recording simple acoustic tunes in his bedroom in late 2007. He submitted a couple of his songs “Adelaide Sky” and “Memilihmu” to a local radio station and they got played on air on Prambors radio’s indie chart “Nubuzz” in 2008, both songs went number one and from there his music journey started.
Up until today Adhitia has produced 5 studio albums : “Quiet Down” (2009), “Forget Your Plans” (2010), “How to Stop Time” (2013), “Silver Painted Radiance” (2016) and a mini album consisting of 5 songs “8 Tahun” (2017).
Adhitia’s albums are also sold in Japan from Dessinee Records (Shibuya, Tokyo). He went for a Japan Tour in 2011, and later on again in 2016 performing several cities in Japan. He also performed several times at Singapore’s Esplanade Theater including the big Mosaic Music Festival in 2012.
Adhitia’s songs also made it to several big screen (and short web series) movies : “Kambing Jantan”, “Simfoni Luar Biasa”, “Teman Tapi Menikah” and “Sore” web series. His song “Gaze” was use in a coffee tv commercial in South Korea.
He has received several music awards such as ICEMA (Indonesia Cutting Edge Music Award) in 2010 and a couple of AMI awards in 2016 for his “Silver Painted Radiance” album.
Adhitia is currently in process of making his 6th studio album.
