Baby Cate, real name Caitlin Simon, is an independent songwriter, rapper, producer, mix engineer and multi-instrumentalist residing in Massachusetts and also representing New Orleans, LA.
In May of 2019, she graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Music Business. She studied guitar and piano, which she utilizes in the production of her music as well. In personal studies, she looks to many figures in the industry as inspirations such as Pharrell, Missy Elliot, Timbaland etc.
‘Baby Cate: The Mixtape’ was released in January 2019 including the breakout song ‘Fake A$$.’ Her latest EP ‘Self Love’ released in April of 2020 is fully produced and written by Cate. The 'raw-ish' style in her vocals and various production elements combine to make for a unique experience in every track. It’s all about female empowerment, friendship and of course, loving yourself.
