DJ Lewis
Career
DJ Lewis became known to the general public in 2005 by participating in the DJ Attalaku Orange competition. The following year, he released his first album, Stop Grippe Aviaire , which included his hit that really made him famous, Grippe Aviaire .
On the strength of its success, the album earned him the award for best artist of the year 2006 at the African Diaspora Awards in London. His career launched, he left in 2007 for the United States for a tour of around thirty dates before returning to his native country, Côte d'Ivoire.
He was nominated for the Konig Kunde d'Or, where he again received the title of best artist of the year as well as the Djembe d'Or at the Kora Awards , a ceremony which rewards musical artists from the African continent.
EndOctober 2007, DJ Lewis performs for the first time in France on the Bataclan stage alongside rapper Mokobé, with whom he performs a featuring on the title Bisou .
In 2008, DJ Lewis released two singles, Kpango and Sans Guebe , which quickly became hits and crossed borders. Indeed, he went on tour for two years, first in India, before joining the United States and Europe. In 2010, he returned to the studio and released several singles: Tremou Tremou , Connexion , Zoto , Mais Allô Quoi , On en a marre and Stop Ebola .
In April 2015, we find DJ Lewis featuring with the reggae - dancehall artist Krys , on a title entitled Azumbo from the compilation Step Out Family . theJune 15 , 2015, it is solo that Lewis returns to an afrobeat - pop sound , Tell me no! In this piece, the interpreter of Avian Flu addresses themes such as the ills of society by adding a touch of humor. The whole thing is embellished with catchy sounds that invite you to dance.
