Stefandré is the alias of Norwegian songwriter and producer Stefan André Willassen Hanssen. With streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands and listeners around the world, he is an exciting new voice in the electronic music scene.
Born and raised in the small town of Bø in the county of Vesterålen, the 23-year old's early music education came from his family, as his uncle learned him some basic chords on guitar, but it wasn't until he discovered the booming international EDM scene that he felt a true calling. A passing interest in dubstep quickly turned into an obsession, as he set out to learn everything he could about the genre and soon he was spending his every waking moment learning how to use the technology to bring out the sounds in his mind.
Stefan uploaded his first tracks to SoundCloud in 2012. The tracks were liked among a small circle of listeners in Scandinavia, and led to his first festival appearance in his hometown along side fellow Norwegian artist Autolaser. It was a major success for an artist who was still a minor at the time, and gave him enough encouragement to study Music Production and Songwriting in Sandefjord upon turning 18.
