Portland, Oregon is known for many roses, but none like Donte Thomas. Thomas is a versatile Hip-Hop artist & the creator/co-founder of Produce Organics, an independent art collective music label which recently opened a storefront in downtown Portland.
With a love for fashion and the arts, he began designing clothing at a young age. Donte picked up the urge to pursue rap at the age of 14 after receiving positive feedback during his participation in freestyle cyphers at school. Thomas would go on to release eight mixtapes within his four years of high school.
His debut album Grayscale was popular in Portland and received prominent recognition from a handful of local publishers, including The Oregonian who ranked it #5 out of 12 on their “Favorite Local Albums of 2016” (the highest ranked Hip-Hop album).
Willamette Week has also laid the accolades on Donte, including:
