Johannes Kolter who is more known under his alias „DJOKO“ is the newest House export from Cologne, Germany. He has been steadily on the rise with his own, fresh take on underground House music in the last 5 years.
In 2016 he started the „Hoove“ event together with his good friend Thalo Santana to push forward aiming house music in his techno dominated hometown, showcasing a number of cutting edge artists in the scene right now. Since then many releases on substantial labels like Defected, Potobolo, Toolroom, CUFF, King Street, Love Not Money or Whoyostro got supported by the biggest names in the House and Techno industry and paved the way to a promising future.
DJOKO’s sound is influenced by funk and soul, garage and deep house and everything in between that is both underground and raw. His DJ-sets vary from breakbeat to house & electro maintaining the typical raw 90’s textures that keep the body moving....more
