Marquis a.k.a. Grand Marquis. Was born in New York and relocated to Northern Virginia when He was nine years old with his family. He always loved music as a child and eventually began playing songs on his keyboard he heard and replayed by ear. At times, He would sit in his room and play original songs, and other times He would write lyrics as they came to his head. His style of music has always been hip-hop and R&B and his major influences have been Biggie, Nas and Jay Z. As and adult he has emerged as a well know rap artist in the DMV area.
