Calypso

Calypso is a Tasmanian electronic artists based in Melbourne. She is one half of the electronic duo S L O W and has played major festivals including Falls, Party in the Paddock, Dark Mofo, Bigsound and A Festival Called Panama. In 2015, S L O W released their first EP featuring four tracks and in 2016 her debut Single and EP was released. Calypso met New Zealand producer and artist Reinier in 2019. They begun working on the track Momma as well as creating a music video for the track filmed on the West Coast of Tasmania. Both are set to be released on April 28th, 2020.

“I have always had a very instinctual process to song writing where it happens quite easily and flows out in a way thats hard to describe, it feels like second nature to me. My music doesn’t come from a particular influence as I started writing at a young age, I have found my influences with situations and whatever feels right to me. I do listen to a lot of different music now though and i think it makes me take notice of what attracts me to a certain songs and the elements that make me want to listen to it multiple time”.
