Hailing from London, Soulecta has been making a name for himself amongst the recent UK Garage resurgence. His production style is reminiscent of late 90s 2-step and 4/4 but with modern production techniques and sounds. In 2017, his debut release ‘Slinky' was signed by Garage Pioneer Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown and was followed up with remixes which featured on the latest Pure Garage CD compilation series.
So far in 2018 he has released music on FooR & DJ Cartier’s new record label, with his output quickly rising up to take spots in the Beatport and Junodownload Garage Top 10 releases. His tracks have been played on mainstream radio stations including BBC 1xtra, Kiss 100, BBC Introducing and Rinse FM. He has worked with MOBO award winner MC Neat and DJed on line-ups with household names including Scott Garcia, El-B, Rossi B & Luca and So Solid Crew’s DJ Swiss. With a string of single releases lined up and working with numerous vocalists, his tracks blur the lines between underground and commercial, emulating one of the key factors which helped make Garage so popular at the turn of the millennium.
As a DJ he has played on London's 106.8 Rinse FM with a guestmix on DJ Cartier's slot showcasing his mixing skills, he also also DJed on Line-ups with other Garage legends such as Scott Garcia....more
