Loopy is the rapper and leader of MKIT RAIN RECORDS. When he started his career in LA, he decided to gather famous LA-based Korean/American rappers. This was the predecessor of the MKIT RAIN.
In forming the crew, he released songs such as [WA$UP], [Gear 2] and [IN IT] in a free-spirited yet tight rap style. Since then, he has received much attention from the hip-hop scene for his mixtape [King Loopy], not only winning the 2015 Best Mixtape Award but also becoming the most notable newcomer. Moreover, the music video of [Gear 2] was well received on YouTube and was praised for expanding the presence of Korean hip-hop.
After bringing in a new style of hip-hop absorbed from the U.S., he appeared on "Show Me The Money," a Korean hip-hop competition program, to prove his skills and reach the final to win the title of second place.
One of his representative songs, "Good Day," has been on the K-pop 100 chart for more than 250 days.
