Energetic Ohio artist SAPPHIRE covers many genres, most noticeably aggro-punk and alternative hip hop. Placing himself in the underground rap scene in early 2016 and playing shows relentlessly through the end of the decade, SAPPHIRE opened peoples minds and gave energetic/chaotic shows garnering him a name in the Cleveland scene. His 2017 video for “It Can’t Rain All The Time” (released through Sad Chill on YouTube) put him on the map and in front of people in a large setting for the first time online. His next video “TASED” have people the hard hitting sound that is most noticible on his recent album “PESSIMISM” and his video for “HMU XOXO” (directed by NewEnglandBoy and released through Sad Chill) started a new wave of emotionally driven music. From playing shows with Nascar Aloe, to performing with Fats’e, 93feetofsmoke, and Shinigami, SAPPHIRE pushes his way deep into your conscious with beautiful melodies and bone cracking bass. His group, LOT9 (A-LOW Rx, Zigwap, Qpvt, etc) have pushed to make a name for themselves, gaining attention from established artists like Wiz Kahlifa, Monybagg Yo, Itsokaytocry, and Shaggy2Dope. This tenacity has gifted them with enough attention that they have played shows all over the country, LA and NYC being the cities that show the most love.
