Juliano Karahassan is DJ/producer from Jersey, Channel Islands, known as J Kara. He producers a wide range of electronic music ranging from obscure indie-electronica to dance floor oriented techno, encompassing deep-house, lo-fi, breakbeat and minimal.
Juliano's interest in production started whilst he was studying music in London, where he started his own record label, Subnote Records. He started producing music and DJing after living in Thailand for a year but established him self as a producer with his debut releases of "For Nina" and "Leon".
His lo-fi sound has drawn inspiration from the likes of 'Ross From Friends' and 'DJ Seinfeld' with his own unique twist on the generic lo-fi sound.
In 2020 he secured his first play on BBC Radio 1 with his release 'Isotope" and has 2 releases lined up on Paper Recordings dropping summer 2021....more
