Philander

Philander, formally known as Nwaodor Pope John Paul is a Nigerian Afro-Beat artist, song writer and performing act. The Imo state, Nigeria born afrobeat and soul music talent was born in the year 1998.

Philander is currently based in Nigeria, Debuting his music career in Afro-Beat, Amapiano and Soul music sensation kick starts his foray in the Nigeria music space with a revolutionary single titled “Please Don't Go" where he showcases a level of afropop skills and intellect to a level that has earned him a mention as a talent to look out for.
Ever since his break out scene in 2022 the 24year old does not look to be slowing down.


Philander started music at a very young age in the city of Abuja where he was born and bred, captur- ing the crowd with his unique lyrics and aura for star- dom. Philander's ambition have seen him become one of the youngest singer in the Nigeria music indus- try and Africa as a whole.

The fast rising star is currently carrying on the afropop and Afrobeats mantle. Already making a name for himself and not only on the streets of Lagos and Abuja, but amongst some of the A list celebrities in the industry.


According to the Afrobeats star, He grew up loving music, and would often find himself dropping bars and composing music as a source of recreation. The talented act is currently unsigned Philander is currently looking to upset the odds and begin a new era in the Afrobeats genre of music that has suffered over the years as a result of some really big shoes that are almost impossible to fill for genera- tions.
