Mastro

Mastro's a self-taught musician who started playing guitar at 11 years old and has written over 2,000 songs while honing his producer talent. Born in Long Island, NY,  he spent his adolescence influenced by classic rock legends like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Bob Dylan. Encompassed by the east coast music scene, Mastro was exposed to hip hop artists like Biggie Smalls, WuTang, the Beastie Boys at an early age. He moved to Atlanta where the southern sounds of Outkast, Ludacris, Pharrell, Timbaland & Missy Eliot integrated into his style. 



He spent the majority of his life in Philadelphia, where he's introduced to west coast music and fell in love with an eclectic mix of Jack Johnson, Rage Against the Machine, and 2Pac. He would also frequent the underground basement music scene while attending Temple University. Graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor in Film & Media arts Mastro also won awards for a short film he wrote, directed, and acted in, and received a Freese nomination for a feature-length script he wrote.

By 2015, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a music and film career full-time, which is where he currently resides. Eventually, he learned to play drums, bass, and keyboard, you can find him busking loop performances on the streets of Santa Monica or Newport Beach. He now devotes his life to the arts and volunteers his time teaching music writing and production to underprivileged youth in Santa Monica.
