Olisa Franklin Emodi - better known as ‘Olistar’- is a Nigerian musician and performer from Onitsha, Anambra State. As a child he regularly watched his mother perform as the lead vocalist in a band, and this ignited his passion for music. Growing up Olistar drew inspiration from artists like 2Pac The Notorious B.I.G., Bob Marley, Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, Oliver De Coque and Fela, and these musical influences helped carve his own unique sound.
After many years spent experimenting with music, Olistar realised his natural affinity with drill music, and in 2021 his debut release titled 'Umunwa' set him off on his journey with drill music. Following the success of Umunwa, Olistar released his first EP, ‘What's The Difference (W.T.D), and garnered a following from the growing drill community in Nigeria.
