Yodé & Siro is an Ivorian Zouglou band, originally from Abidjan. Many of Yodé & Siro songs become very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.
It was formed in 1996 , and consists of two members. The group originally consisted of 4 members and was called Les Poussins Chocs. He began by making a name for himself on the stages of Abidjan, before becoming known to the general public thanks, among other things, to their hit Asec-Kotoko (whose main track talks about the tragic history between Ghana and the Côte d'Ivoire after a match between ASEC Mimosas and Asante Kotoko in the Champions League in the 1990s).
Career
Since the separation of the Poussins choc following the death of one of them Fifi Django, Yodé & Siro have formed a duo that became famous in the 2000s with three albums, notably Victoire, which enjoyed great success in the 2000-2001 with songs with comic texts talking about the economic and political situation of the country as well as the daily problems of Ivorians.
Then came the 2002 album Antilaléca, still just as comical, with many hits, such as the response song to the one sung by Magic System in Paris , a gaou in Paris , and la vie c'est mollo . Then Yodé & Siro sang for peace in Ivory Coastwith numerous zouglou artists (such as Bagnon, Pat Sako from Espoir 2000 , Collectif 1+1, Collectif BCG , etc.).
At the moment Petit Yodé & Siro have released a new album following complaints from fans entitled "sign'zo" about the signs of the zodiac and the effect of these on behavior. There is also the tube Marie jo denouncing the infidelity of women as well as their jealousy.
With Sign'zo, the group Yodé & Siro intends to conquer the international public, like its compatriot Magic System from which it has just elsewhere to recruit ex-manager Angelo Kabila.
