Whichever sub-strain of house or garage he turns his hand to, it would be fair to say that Scott Diaz has firmly cemented his place as one of the most exciting producers and DJ's to emerge in recent years. His peers would seem to agree, with the likes of Todd Terry, Oliver Heldens, Claptone, Tensnake, MK, Sam Divine, Sonny Fodera, Simon Dunmore, Black Loops, Joey Negro, Riva Starr and Low Steppa all charting and supporting Scott’s original music, remixes and label releases.
2018 saw him climb to to new heights with remixes for Rapson and Low Steppa on Defected & Armada Deep respectively, plus appearances in Ibiza and Croatia for Defected. Traxsource placed him in their top 30 artists of the year, with no less than 10 productions included in their bestsellers lists across house, deep house and others, rounding off an outstanding year for the Brighton based artist.
His ambitious label project, ‘Grand Plans’ launched in the autumn of 2016, sharing, in Scott’s own words, “lovingly-curated electronic music with heart & soul” - allowing him to share moments and music as soulful, inspiring and life-affirming as the ones that shaped him. DJ support for the Grand Plans sound has come from a diverse plethora of stellar names including Till Von Sein, Lovebirds, Maya Jane Coles, Andy Daniell, Matthias Vogt, Laurent Garnier, Horse Meat Disco, Giom and Lay-Far and with several EP's and pop-up events slated throughout 2019 that list looks set to grow....more
