Lions Of March are an experimental lo-fi combo revolving around core members Jason McGathey, Matt Montanya, and Daniel McGathey. Their 2004 debut, "Scars Scatter," was mostly recorded in a basement home studio in Columbus, Ohio, where band members Jason and Matt were living at the time. From 2007-08 the group worked on new material extensively, with a lineup at times expanding to include up to 7 members, though ultimately not much came of these sessions.The core trio has since mostly worked alone, occasionally releasing new singles. 2011 saw the release of "Upstairs" and its b-side "Reasons Why," while 2012 brought "Metric Years" backed with "Can't Figure It Out." In 2019 they contributed the brand new track "We Were There" to an Exquisite Noise Records compilation disc, "Chill Before Serving." Band members split their time and recording efforts in Ohio and North Carolina and are chipping away on their long delayed 2nd album. Though only getting together sporadically to work on material, they are currently about halfway finished with the project....more
