Born from the fusing of eight Winnipeg, Canada based musicians, Apollo Suns have created a refreshing and innovative sound combining instrumental, jazz, rock and psychedelic music. They were awarded “Instrumental Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards.
Built on the strength of several Canadian tours supporting their 2017 debut EP, Each Day a Different Sun, the album spent seven weeks on Earshot! National Top 50 charts with it’s top spot at #15. Some of their most notable shows include support slots for The Brooks, Mariachi Ghost, Five Alarm Funk, Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, Kobo Town and Bend Sinister; as well as showcases at Canadian Music Week, Festival Du Voyageur, Ness Creek Music Festival, Golden Sound Music Festival and Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
Apollo Suns are in the midst of recording a follow up to Each Day a Different Sun with a release date aimed for Spring 2019. The remainder of this year will see the band on a Canadian coast-to-coast tour anchored on national festivals including Golden Sound Festival and Ness Creek Festival as they begin the groundwork for a new release that will include their first US dates....more
