SWEAT is the musical project of Robben Lent (guitar/vocals), originally hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. After moving to Montreal in 2014 with Jordan Siemens (bass), they met Georgia Gleason (guitar/vocals) and launched the project in fall 2015. Alan McTavish (drums) joined the band shortly after.
They quickly connected musically and established themselves within the local music scene. Shortly after the group’s initiation, they recorded an album with Garrett Johnson (Gary’s House FKA Brazilian Money). Since its release in April 2016, their seven track self-titled EP has garnered attention from Exclaim!, Earmilk, Ride the Tempo, The Revue, and IX Daily. It was released digitally and on tape cassette by Atlanta-based label Human Sounds Records....more
