Oddysseys mark the punk underground with a seductive mix of surly and breathy temper sunk deep inside the haze of melodic guitars. Starting as a solo project under lead singer/guitarist Christian Treon, Oddysseys began as a guise not only to express the influence of Treon’s Boston based background, but also to showcase his grand venture into sublime pop rock. With the release of EP “Odd” in 2016, the sails of Oddysseys were filled with strong breezy hits like “A Book That Never Ends” and “Run Prophet”, bringing a consistency to the sound that would soon resonate with audiences across the country.
Oddysseys’ mythos expanded with Treon’s transfer to the West coast to attend university. Treon found refuge in the school radio station, KWVS. There he met bassist Paul DiRico and guitarist Josh Corbin, and as the band grew, so did the station. Oddysseys’ passion for their goth-pop and post-punk influences began attracting fellow students and gained another member in drummer Mark Pangilinan. With this new edition the band had gained enough traction and begin recording their first LP “Odd Behavior”. The debut full length album is a perfectly balanced vessel of Oddysseys’ sound: a jilted dream-pop that vocalizes nervous angst to an ecstatic degree....more
