RYL0

RYL0 is a 22 year old producer, songwriter, and vocalist who grew up as an only child with a colorful imagination coupled with a fascination for synthesis. Developing her love for synthetic sounds in middle school, RYL0 discovered a palpable connection between electronic stylings and the sound-to-color synesthesia that started to develop throughout her adolescence.

Although she has grown up studying many forms of musical instruments and techniques, she credits her synesthesia (the ability to visualize sounds as auras) above all else for her distinct genre-bending approach to music.

"It's important for me to be recognized as an electronic producer because at the end of the day, that's what I am and there still aren't enough womxn and POC openly existing in that niche. But I also think the way I approach my own music can co-exist in a pop sphere in a subversive sense. I think for some people it would make more sense to call me a 'future pop' artist and I don't mind that at all– I've settled on the idea that I'm making music of the future anyways."

In addition to her pursuits in music, RYL0 also occupies space in the cinematic realm as both a screenwriter and a director. Bringing her vibrant mix of interests to her sound, RYL0’s D-I-Y lofi style is fueled with kinetic and immersive energy that aims to leave listeners fully entranced and teleported.
