One night in 2003, a casual discussion between friends turned into a band that quickly found its place among the OPM surge of the past decade. Bagetsafonik combines elements of new wave, euro rock, hiphop and electronica into a sound that is simultaneously sweet and street.
This unique blend of influences produced a sound that appealed strongly to the diverse indie crowd, and eventually the band found itself as mainstays in the Ninja Kiss and Ninjakyusi Productions of Saguijo and Route 196, respectively.
In 2007, the band released their debut indie album Travelogue under the Lockeddown label. This carried the band's musical joyride nationwide, along with a list of accolades:
• Airplay of the singles 'Halogen', 'Automatik', 'Saccharine', and 'Joyride' on NU 107, JAM 88.3, 99.5 RT, 103.5 Max FM, and RJ Underground Radio 105.9.
• Airplay of the respective music videos on Myx and MTV Philippines
• MTV's Need To Know Artist (October 2007)
• Nominee, Best Bandarito Performance (Myx Music Awards 2008)
In 2012, Bagetsafonik released their self-titled sophomore album, along with a more powerful and diverse audible journey and everyone’s welcome to come along for the ride....more
