Meet Tanaka Brenton Chigwedere, better known by his artistic moniker TannyTeeY, a Zimbabwean-born producer with an extraordinary passion for music. Born on May 7th, 1996, TannyTeeY's journey into the world of music is a testament to his unwavering determination and self-driven nature.
Unlike some musicians, TannyTeeY didn't come from a musical family. Instead, he nurtured his interest in music from an early age, as it gradually blossomed into a profound passion that captured his heart.
Without the privilege of formal musical training or access to digital audio workstations, Tanaka took matters into his own hands. He frequented local studios in Harare, Zimbabwe, eager to witness the magic of music creation. To learn and gain insights, he even paid engineers for studio sessions just to observe their work, always mindful not to impose on their expertise.
Tragedy struck when TannyTeeY lost both of his parents during a crucial stage of his life. Music became his refuge and closest companion during those difficult times. At the age of 13, he moved to South Africa, where he completed his matriculation. It was then that TannyTeeY realized music was his true calling. Right after high school, he delved headfirst into music production, and he hasn't looked back since.
Beyond his music endeavors, TannyTeeY has a strong passion for supporting and uplifting others within his industry. He derives great joy from helping fellow artists grow and develop their skills.
Throughout his career, TannyTeeY has collaborated with prominent artists such as Bon, Zameka, Blastfemi, Turbulence, Phlex Roku, Goldtip, and many more. Each collaboration showcases his remarkable talent and versatility as a producer.
