Artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Nafets has spent much of his life as an outsider. Raised in Maryland and recently transplanted to LA, the 23-year-old first-generation Trinidadian immigrant has spent much of his life juggling cultures, identities and spaces. His music reflects his upbringing — a sonic world on the fringes, seamlessly blending together elements of calypso, indie rock and hip-hop into a unique and nuanced concoction of its own.
