Mistah Mez had an unorthodox entry to the rap game, to say the least. After having his neck and skull sliced open during an altercation, the Sydney hip-hop artist took the near-death experience as a sign that he needed to seriously pursue his true passion: Music.
Growing up in Western Sydney with a background in production and a diet of 2000s gangster rap, Mez picked up the microphone and gained heavy traction on singles like 'Put It On Me' featuring Rebecca Rosher, which has over 11 million streams on tastemaker YouTube channel RNBASS. Other singles like 'Questions' alongside Kennyon Brown have also garnered over a million YouTube views, showcasing his ability to traverse between Rap and R&B with slick confidence, resulting in anthemic tracks that live on the dancefloor in the early hours of the morning.
Mez's preference for upbeat, jovial jams comes directly from his Chilean heritage; "I think having that Latino culture, I've naturally gravitated towards party music.
