TJ Marion initially gained his stage prowess in the African Methodist Episcopal church he attended as a child in Bakersfield, California.
Intent on reaching more people he found that although his roots were firm in the gospel arena branching out and using his skills garnered in the church would allow him the opportunity to deliver a message to a boarder audience. So he began to dive into the arts.
He perfected his craft upon graduating from California State University, Bakersfield double majoring in Theatre and in Political Science. While attending college he became known throughout the dormatoriums as "Nate Dogg" because whenever TJ was featured on a song, it was a hit!
Still feeling limited, TJ Marion began pursuing a career as a artist online. He then collaborated with super producer Ty Fyffe and Fokis of Loyalty Digital and was featured on several projects under the alias TJ. The first of which being a mixtape titled "A Walk Through Myspace VOLUME 2." He became known for his melodies, rhythmic flows, and unforgetable choruses. Later joining the bi-coastal group Local-MU12. His influence and style led the group in many directions. Leading to projects with Hip-hop legends (Sadat X and MC Eiht). But, after the release of their debut album TJ left the group.
He has since been releasing single after single, three mixtapes in one year, and has been performing throughout the state of California and Nevada. TJ Marion is currently working on a new project....more
