John's songwriter/performer background includes opening for the Dixie Chicks, Waylon Jennings, and Martina McBride. He has recorded and charted albums; Nights Like This, Hillbilly Girl, and Pure Country. He performed venues at the Fox Theater in Detroit, Toledo Zoo, Hacienda in Las Vegas, and the Nashville Palace, to mention a few. Randy has performed with local groups from a young age in the Mid-Michigan area, where he met and began performing with John. Randy sings vocals, plays guitar/violin, and bass. The JR Band produce recordings at his studio, Heart Street Studio.
The JR Band has been playing for over 3 years in the Tri-City, Michigan area. Their unique style of music has been aired on Public Radio, WUCX Q90.1 FM, Mid-Michigan Sound Operative program which airs weekly on Saturdays.
