House duo Fish Go Deep, comprised of DJs Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson, have been spinning records for enthusiastic nightclub audiences since the late '80s. They earned a residency early on at one of Ireland's most influential nightclubs, Sweat at Sir Henry's, in their hometown of Cork. Their time at Sweat, lasting more than a decade, established them as pioneers and trendsetters in the growing European dance music scene. Wrapping up at Sweat in 2001, Fish Go Deep made appearances throughout the U.K., Ireland, Canada, and the U.S. Their international fan base was expanded thanks to a deal with New Jersey-based i! Records, which was the first to release Fish Go Deep's full-length records, starting with the Flying Funk EP released in 2000.
