In 2013 August 13th she launched her debut album MY ESSENCE at the Serena Hotel.
In 2014, Kimani featured Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime in her new single Haiwi Haiwi. In November that year, she released her second single for 2014, Chali. The song has an old school,jazzy vibe to it.
In early April 2015, Gilad Millo, an Israeli former deputy ambassador based in Kenya, featured Kimani in his hit single Unajua, a Swahili word for “Do You Know”. A song that talked about two former lovers contemplating their current love life gone sour. The song was critically acclaimed, a massive hit gaining 6 million views on Youtube and receiving much air play in both radio and television stations making it one of Kenya’s best 2015 songs. They released their second collaboration “Usiende” in October 2016 filmed in Amsterdam.
In 2020, Wendy is making a comeback to the music scene, with Pagawisha, a song about reigniting passion and falling in love again. (Also with music :))
