Tino Piontek aka Purple Disco Machine has been on a whirlwind of a musical journey since the 2009 conception of his highly successful disco house music project. It was his 2013 breakthrough hit ‘My House’, that really propelled him into new heights. The track remains one of Beatport’s best ever sellers and Purple Disco Machine now ranks #2 in the online retailer’s all-time Top 100 Artists chart.
His debut artist album ‘Soulmatic’ spawned two huge singles: the club monster and UK radio smash ‘Body Funk’ and the Europe wide radio smash ‘Devil In Me’. ‘Soulmatic’ has so far racked up over 80 million combined streams.
2018 follow up ‘Dished (Male Stripper)’ has proved to be one of the biggest dance records of last few years and 2019 saw Purple Disco Machine release the 2 track ‘Emotion EP’. The track quickly went to #1 on Beatport Disco chart, was a mainstay in the Ibiza Shazam Top 10 and is going strong on the streaming sites.
2020 sees the launch of PDM’s 2nd album campaign.
Purple Disco Machine is one of the most in demand remixers in global dance music and has delivered exceptional reworks for Calvin Harris, Mark Ronson, Dua Lipa, Elton John, Foals, RUFUS DU SOL, Jax Jones, Gorillaz, The Knocks , Chromeo, Jamiroquai, Two Door Cinema Club, New Order, Claptone amongst others.
His more club focused remixes such as his reworks of club classics ‘Shakedown – At Night’ and Fatboy Slim’s evergreen anthem ‘Praise You’ are already bona fide anthems in their own right.
