Pete Kuzma took up the piano at the young age of eight. What started as just an outlet to express early jazz and folk influences ultimately landed him in Princeton’s Westminster Conservatory Choir College, where he studied piano and theory. From there, he attended Rowan University, earning a Bachelor’s in Jazz Studies, while also attaining his Master’s in Music Composition.
During his college years, Pete found himself deeply engulfed in the newly emerging Neo Soul scene of Philadelphia. It was there he began working with DJ Jazzy Jeff as a producer and studio musician. This opened many more doors, and Pete went on to become the music director for Jill Scott, appearing on several of her studio albums and live concert recordings. He has since found himself on the road and in the studio with some of the most iconic acts in music - spanning all genres.
Pete currently lives in Los Angeles, where he has established himself as a highly sought after musician, music director and writer/producer within the industry. Pete happily engages in projects that feed his soul, from yoga albums and jazz gigs to film scoring, production and tours with major label artists....more
