Roger William Saro is ROSA. A Surinamese/Native American singer and songwriter born and raised in Amsterdam. His sound fuses alt-pop with progressive R&B, blending sub-genres while still exploring the aesthetics of mainstream pop music. Dev Hynes, Robyn and Frank Ocean are amongst his main inspirations. On his forthcoming debut EP ‘FEMALE’, the writing revolves around strong, powerful women and expressing yourself through vulnerability as a male. A subject often viewed as taboo in music, popular culture and society in general. In 2017 ROSA debuted ‘Drunk Girls’. An ode to unapologetically strong women in control of their femininity and sexuality. The single and its accompanying video debuted on VICE.
