American singer/songwriter Essence Natay performs genre-blurring R&B influenced by indie-soul, alternative pop and electronic.Her first single debut, “ Flatline” was her hello as an artist to the public in the summer of 2017.The singer then followed up with her second and latest single “Aries” in the fall of 2018 which revolves around themes of love, twisted affairs and desired affection infused with a nostalgic undertone reminiscent of the 90’s RnB era.
Born Essence Natay Lewis raised in a small town in New Jersey where she excelled in academics and choir throughout middle and high school . After graduating High school, Natay earned a degree in cosmetology and shuffled between jobs until becoming a mother of boy/girl twins in the fall of 2011. While being a stay at home mom, Natay took to songwriting working with various producers to build an extensive catalogue eventually landing her a job writing for other artists for a reputable labels main recording branch in NYC. After 2 years Natay would eventually branch off into her own individual artistry stepping into a spotlight that continues to grow brighter....more
