Stera B took the afro sound away after he released his first official single "Blow My Mind'. It was recorded after he decided to take a trip to Nigeria and live out there for less than a year back in 2018. The experience gave Stera B the spark to follow this sound as it's apart of his culture and also a sound that his supporters wanted to hear from him. Stera B is not an afro beat artist he is an artist overall, he consciously made the decision to label his lane 'Souly afro'. Souly Afro is a sound that is mixed with soul and afro swag. Stera B was born in the UK, East London to be exact but he has always embraced the African culture in his sound from early, it was inevitable that he was always going to go back to that sound and prosper from it. The inspiration behind his sound today was from the likes of; Wasiu ayinde (King of Fuji music), Party next door, Maleek berry and a few others.
Stera B writes all his own songs, he also believes that being boxed in one genre lane is never his portion. He believes as long as he holds onto his integrity he can use his sound to create any sort of fusion world wide.
Stera B says he WILL take over the industry by storm and create a brand new lane for young African kings and queens to use their talent and never have to shy away from their routes....more
