Eckotrigger are an alternative/electronic duo formed in London UK in 2016 comprising of Producer and Instrumentalist Paul Dogra and Vocalist/Lyricist Joel Alexander. Paul and Joel began developing song ideas based on their shared appreciation and influence of artists such as Depeche Mode, NIN, and David Bowie.
The duo initially started as The Ultra, and in 2017 released the four track EP‘ When The World Turns Out Its Lights’ – which was published and released by indie London record label Platform Records, with the EP’s single ‘Universe in Two’ also being accompanied by a video. The release of Universe in Two received numerous positive reviews worldwide, radio play and was as a trailer for the computer game ‘Die Young’. The following year the band released a second and more experimental EP which also received warm reviews.Eckotrigger seek to create music that is interesting, challenging and evoking many different musical textures, themes and feelings. They work individually on song ideas and drafts with finally recording in Paul’s London home studio and his creative sanctuary.
In 2020, Eckotrigger have amassed a strong body of unreleased material and been working on their rebrand into Eckotrigger including recruiting a drummer for live shows.In the last few months of 2020, they have been occupied with their upcoming first release as Eckotrigger in the song ‘Collide’ and working with a London filmmaker for the video to accompany it.
