Lawal Sodeeq (born November 2nd), known professionally as Skippo, I’m a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter and performer. I’m a prominent modern day Afrobeats artiste that talks about love, unity, peace, struggles , dreams, realities and many more through my music. I began doing music professionally in 2010 when I dropped my first single Egbori Pamo which featured Africana. I released another single Shako in 2011. In 2014, I released another single Gbon Titi which featured Africana and did a remix of the song in the same year 2014 with Africana and Reminisce (Alaga Ibile). In 2015, I did a refix of a song Indomie by CDQ which features Olamide (Baddo) and Masterkraft which caught the attention of so many people and fans across Nigeria. I released a ground breaking song Eko Lon Pebi (This is Lagos) which caught the attention of the entertainment industry and media houses across Africa and was the number 1 trending song on Twitter during it’s time. The song received a massive airplay and positive reviews. I released another song Identity in 2019 which I talked about the unity of Africans and took time to condemn Xenophobic attacks between Africans. In 2020, I made a new song Mill City, Oregon to honor the citizens of Mill City and to unite the entire people of Oregon where my songs are being played on KYAC radio in Mill City, Oregon. The song caught the attention of the citizens who lived in and outside of Oregon and I got so many engagements,made a lot of new friends and it got me a lot of new fans. I released YU! in 2020, it’s a love song with a combination of Yoruba( my native language), Pidgin and English.
