NONA, a new project led by Los Angeles-based Michael Goldman, is a nod to Goldman's truest self. Through touring and writing with various bands, including Awolnation, Goldroom, Meg Myers, Sego, and The Moth & The Flame he has developed a musical aesthetic all his own. With his varied personal influences that include Wilco, Simon and Garfunkel, Mason Jennings, and Carole King he’s been able to create something deep and unique. The project’s moniker NONA, a traditional Mediterranean term for grandmother, aptly characterizes the depth of personal reflection embedded in each song.
