The Armel Dupas Trio is a French jazz band based in Nantes, featuring Armel Dupas (piano), Jules Billé (bass) and Christophe Piot (drums). It takes its origin in a series of YouTube livestreams organized by Armel during the pandemic.
As many musicians impacted by the situation, the three fellows had to re-invent their workflow and create new ways for sharing their music, also they decided to meet regularly to record a ballad album in Armel's home studio. Their DIY approach, melt with a big passion for the classic jazz's sound, led them to record their first album Lookin' Up, instantly adopted by the best jazz playlists on Spotify.
