The wait is finally over. Scottish singer-songwriter Luke Erskine is set to release long-time fan favourite ‘Waiting on Esme’ on all platforms on Friday 26th March. First aired at a handful of live appearances in late 2019, an acoustic demo of the track quickly racked up streams on Soundcloud and left fans clamouring for more.
Now arriving with full production and a sprinkle of magic, ‘Waiting on Esme’ combines the groovy atmospherics of Blossoms with the melodic instinct of Noel Gallagher to deliver a slice of indie pop perfection.
With influences from The Smiths to LCD Soundsystem, the classic singer-songwriter sound was never going to be enough for Luke’s song-writing ambition. Production was an inevitable extension, and Luke began furnishing his songs with different textures, feelings and sounds.
