JonnoAQ, one of Peckham’s most diverse voices; also known as “SE15BestKeptSecret”.
Born into the love of music through his father, JonnoAQ grew up on the raw hip hop sound. In his early days he was influenced by the likes of Nelly, Busta Ryhmes, DMX and So Solid Crew. In his teenage years JonnoAQ, developed his own ear for music and began branching into other genres such as Jazz, R&B, Soul, House and Psychedelic rock. However at that time still heavily influenced by hip hop with his favourite group being G-unit and discovering acts such as, Styles P & Jadakiss.
One moment changed it all. After a night of ‘hotboxing’ and freestyling over instrumentals with the mandem, he was determined to improve his freestyling ability after being to shy to take part; with his close friends already perusing a music career. His dramatic improvement sent shockwaves to the group and the rest was history.
Now self-described as SE15BestKeptSecret, JonnoAQ, has made headway, collaborating with Nike, featuring on Complex and radio spins on Capital Xtra, Reprezent radio and Rinse FM....more
