Cameroonian-born Myra Maimoh grew up in a big family in Bamenda with her mother being her greatest musical influence by shopping records. Influenced by her mothers discs of Skeeter Davies, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, African blues and throughout the spectrum from country music, traditional African music to jazz and pop, Myra started singing and dancing, while still in preschool at the age of 3.
2010 she joined the Hitsmith family and released her debut album, "Answer'd Me". Myra Maimoh had 2 songs from her debut album, "Answer'd Me" in the New Christian music Gospel Euro Charts. "Please Take it Slow" was number 1, 7 times in row & "I'encourage U" number 2 in the first week on the Chart. "Killing me" was 25th in the 2010 World Song Contest.
The album, "Answer'd Me" was number 1 on Dancetaria Phat 50 for 4 weeks and stayed on the chart for 8 weeks. "Answer'd me" was also declared album of a month twice in Germany. Nexdim Empire (Camer Enterntainment House) crowned Myra Artist of the Year 2010. Myra Maimoh was featured on VinDeca's album on a remix of "I encourage you", one of Myra's songs on her debut Album, Answer'd Me.
Myra released her Gospel hit, "A no go tire" in March 2015 and “On Va Danser” in May, 2016. Her second and most anticipated project, Uniq was released in July 2016 again to rave reviews....more
