Hailing from Charlotte, NC, Hungry Girl is Jason Skipper (vocals, guitar), Jimmy Lail (drums) and Jake Wade (bass). A high energy rock and roll band, Hungry Girl formed in 2012, before releasing two EPs (2012’s ‘Fess Up’ and 2013’s ‘Baba’) and gaining a large local following.
HG’s riff heavy guitars, reminiscent of classic rock and metal, paired with pounding grooves and catchy pop-influenced vocal melodies combine to craft a unique type of rock and roll that’s unlike any other modern band.
Rip Currents marks Hungry Girl’s second full-length album, following 2015’s ‘Hungry Girl’ LP and the 2017 EP ‘Cool Shots’ (Refresh Records).
