Conrad Askland credits as musical director and conductor include the Cirque du Soleil world tour of Varekai and Cirque’s resident ZAIA show in Macau China, productions of AIDA, Brigadoon, Rocky Horror Show, Bye Bye Birdie, Disney’s High School Musical, Seussical, Sondheim’s Forum and Hollywood Superstars. As a performer he has worked with Seattle Opera, Grand ‘Ol Opry, the American Latin Music Awards, Knott’s Berry Farm, and was also long time touring keyboardist for Grammy Winner Freddy Fender of the Texas Tornados. Conrad orchestrated and conducted the world premiers of the musicals Romeo and Juliet, Witches and PAN. He produced hundreds of albums for artists at Road Records of Southern California.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Berklee College of Music, Professional Certificate in Ableton Live and a Master’s Degree in Arts Leadership and Cultural Development with Colorado State University.
Throughout his career, Conrad has worked on hundreds of productions in a variety of roles− from musical director and keyboardist to composer and bandleader−and in numerous locales around the world.
