Sleep Maps is the musical brainchild of California based Ben Kaplan. The band started in Los Angeles before relocating to Brooklyn and then back to California. Each Sleep Maps record takes a theme and explores it through the use of guitar, drums, synth sounds, found samples and analog noise. The first Sleep Maps record, Fiction Makes the Future, was listed as a Rhapsody album of the day and received numerous positive reviews. We Die For Truth, the bands second album, received a vinyl release through Feedbands where the song 'The World You Wanted' was at the top of their listening charts...more
