Versey is an emcee from Ballybrack, South Co. Dublin, Ireland. He began writing and recording music upon hearing other Irish emcees on mainstream radio hoping to achieve similar success. Versey began entering rap battles with the intent of getting his name known to those who already had a reputation in the Irish Hip Hop scene. Although battling wasn't his forte, he continued to make music on a minute scale up until 2012. In 2016 he wrote an entrance song for friend and MMA fighter Ben "The Spider Monkey" Forsyth which debuted in Dublins 3Arena. This motivated Versey to begin writing new material including "Welcome To Ballybrack" which is a homage to the area grew up in.
