Dear Ghosts is a collective effort of DJs, Producers, Singers, Musicians, and Mash-Up artists, all coming together under one unified name.
The name started as an inside joke, with more and more people being accused of having ghost producers and ghost writers.
The collective thought it would be funny to write & release music where nobody was credited on any track or release, thus nobody could be accused of producing or not producing a track, because nobody knows who produced it to begin with.
Despite this, the music made by Dear Ghosts is no joke.
From catchy melodic riffs, to ear-shattering, filthy Dubstep drops, to slower, more somber Pop ballads, all of the anonymous members have an ear for music and a talent for writing, and regardless of whether it's listened to or not, the music they make is for them as an output / release to their own feelings, and a love letter to the music they enjoy and grew up with.
If nothing else, despite the anonymity, these artists put their hearts on their sleeves, and show that something honest can come out of a group of people who put their hearts and heads together, regardless of who they are.
In the end, it doesn't matter how the song is made, as long as it sounds good and connects with someone....more
