Eric Wanjohi best known for his stage name; “Wanjo Afrika” is a Kenyan artist who started singing at a very young age, where he’d attend various music contests which led to him joining his fellow artist friends in the neighbourhood after completing his high school where they formed a live band and named it “ELITE BAND” back in 2013 while still attending their college/Universities. They would go perform on different events (clubs, weddings, birthdays, Graduation after parties, Companies end of year parties e.t.c) and at one time went as the main entertainment band for Standard chattered Bank event. These occasions led him to gaining more confidence and experience though he was just a ‘self taught artist.’ After finishing higher learning, some of the mates got different engagements and some traveled for jobs etc... which led to dissolving of the ‘hood band’....more
