Born July 21 1990, MAD DOGG, real name Thato Setseta is a South African hip-hop recording artist from Mahwelereng, Limpopo. The artist is best known for being one of few independent artists in the country to reach commercial successs.
His music career kicked off in in 2009 when he self-released, self-marketed and hand-to-hand distributed his mix-tape beats, which received a lot of acclaim, with a number of original beats getting playlisted on several topping numerous music charts.
Some of the songs from his singles featured on numerous charts including, Reverbnation Weekly Charts, Soundcloud Chart, Audiomack Chart, voted number in Mokopane for best producer Top 10 Chart. At that time, he became the first hip-hop artist to have two songs in the Top 10 of the Mokopane chart at the same time.
Among his recognitions, he was nominated for top 5 beat makers in Mahwelereng, Nominated by GAMA for Best Upcoming Artist Of The Year (2017/18/19).
